The Challenge

The Glamourie needed a brand identity that could hold its full sense of magic. The direction required elegance with a touch of surrealism, a visual language that felt cinematic and dreamy while still polished and intentional. Naming, tone, and design all needed to reflect the charm of rural Scotland, the handcrafted nature of the work, and the enchanting, high fashion energy of the final costumes.

The RESULT

The Glamourie now has a fully realized brand identity that captures the enchantment, femininity, and theatrical excess at its core. The visuals create an immediate sense of story and set the tone for a brand that exists to pull people into a more imaginative world. With the full identity complete, the founder is ready to launch with clarity, alignment, and a brand that finally reflects the magic of her work.

THE CLIENT

The Glamourie grew out of the Scottish countryside, where imagination feels native to the landscape. The founder transforms curated second hand pieces into extravagant, fantasy forward costumes that invite people to step into other worlds. The brand is glam, feminine, cheeky, and delightfully extra with an aesthetic inspired by Tim Walker’s surreal, theatrical style. At its heart, The Glamourie is about bringing play back into people’s lives and giving them permission to become someone new for a moment.

The STORY + THE WORK

The creative process began with developing a name that could anchor the entire world. The Glamourie, a term rooted in Scottish folklore that references enchantment and illusion, became the foundation for the brand’s voice.

From there, the visual identity took shape through a refined serif logo paired with an ornate script accent, creating a balance of elegance and whimsy. The color palette draws from soft countryside tones and rich cinematic hues, giving the brand a sense of depth and fantasy. Typography and layout styles were designed to feel editorial and atmospheric, echoing the surreal storytelling quality of photographers like Tim Walker.

The final system includes a logo suite, supporting type hierarchy, a cohesive color palette, and custom layout treatments that frame imagery in a way that feels immersive and transportive.

Every work session with Melissa is both a laugh a minute and incredibly productive. She would get the creative gears turning so well that I would start blocking out my own solo work block after meeting with her to capture all that energy in my own work process.

As a business owner, you feel like you know your own brand in and out. But the way Melissa was able to get straight to the heart of the messaging that I SHOULD have been using all along - incredible.
